What is a KSeF FA(3) XML invoice?

A KSeF FA(3) XML invoice is a structured electronic file compliant with the Ministry of Finance XSD schema, replacing traditional paper and PDF invoices in Poland's National e-Invoice System.

The FA(3) format is mandatory from 2026 and is the only format accepted by KSeF. The XML contains all invoice data in a machine-readable structure — from counterparty details to line items and amounts.

KSeF does not accept invoices in PDF, Word or Excel.
